From our Special Correspondent

A big crowd turned out on a sunny Kilbogget Sunday (3 November 2019) to see the Seapoint Super 7s get their competitive season underway as hosts in their first Metro Blitz of 2019.
Club President Brian Montayne was on hand to see the Super 7s host old friends Greystones and Old Belvedere in what has become the traditional season opener for the Seapoint young guns.

It was a special day for players from all three clubs as they marked their first competitive fixtures representing their clubs.

Almost a hundred players took part in the Blitz, with three rapid fire rounds of matches featuring twelve teams spread over six pitches.

On a day when Seapoint celebrated one of its own Under 7s, Felix Jones, winning a World Cup medal with South Africa at the Rugby World Cup in Yokohama, the omens for the next generation of Irish rugby stars were good.

For the Supers 7s it's back to the training ground on Sunday in preparation for more blitzes to come!
