Seapoint Rugby 2002s resume training

10 months ago By John O Donnell

U-16s looking good and looking forward to a great 2017-2018 season

The Seapoint 2002 players, who will take the field as an U-16 side this year, resumed training last Sunday at 11:00 am and look well placed to field a competitive team this season. David Hammond and Liam McCaul are moving teams back to the Seapoint U-14s and U-12s respectively. As a result, John O'Donnell will be taking on the role as U-16 Team Manager with support from John Downing and Mark Walsh.

We are delighted to say that we have retained the services of Alex McAuley as Head Coach this season. Alex had a very successful first season as Head Coach last year, leading this group of players to reach two U-15 finals and recording some significant victories and playing some great rugby along the way. The highlight was probably an exceptional performance against North Meath in the Leinster League final which we lost narrowly by only two points, a match which came down to the very last kick of the game.

So welcome back all. Looking forward to another great season.
